Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations focused on floor care, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure spotless surfaces.
  • Lead the team in performing detailed floor maintenance tasks such as stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing to extend flooring lifespan and enhance appearance.
  • Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment use related to janitorial services and environmental standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas to verify adherence to cleanliness standards and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools for carpet cleaning, buffing, and general janitorial tasks are well-maintained and available.
  • Document daily activities through reports and logs; address any issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff, providing feedback, and promoting best practices in commercial cleaning.

Skills

  • Proven experience in cleaning services with a strong focus on floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a custodial team effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of janitorial procedures and environmental services standards within commercial or institutional settings.
  • Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, extractors for carpet cleaning, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inspecting work quality and managing supplies.
  • Strong communication skills for training staff and coordinating with management teams.

Pay: $25.78 - $31.05 per hour
