Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Cook a variety of menu items efficiently, ensuring quality and presentation are maintained
- Follow food safety protocols and handle food with care to prevent contamination
- Support menu planning by assisting with ingredient prep and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
Skills
- Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly valued
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including knife handling and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience in the food industry or culinary setting
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent food service skills with attention to detail and presentation
- Familiarity with menu planning, food industry practices, and catering operations
