This role serves as a functional and automated quality assurance specialist for GCU's Marketing web applications and its related integrations. Ensures that all changes, upgrades and new configurations meet customer specifications; analyzes data to determine specific types of quality problems being experienced by users. Writes and implements test and inspection procedures—including AI-assisted and automated testing frameworks—to obtain the defect information needed for analysis, and reports findings from test and inspection data to management. On a proactive basis, tests new versions of internet browsers prior to widespread use to identify and resolve compatibility issues. Leverages AI-driven testing tools to enhance test coverage, defect detection, and regression analysis.</p><p></p><p><u><b>Please Note:</b></u><b> </b><b>This is a remote position and can be worked anywhere in the US.</b></p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Define and implement QA practices and procedures, incorporating test automation and AI-powered testing tools.</p></li><li><p>Create, organize, and maintain a comprehensive test plan library, including automated regression suites.</p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain test automation (Playwright, Cypress) to verify functional requirements, web standards, and accessibility compliance.</p></li><li><p>Build automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing within CI/CD pipelines.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate and integrate AI-driven testing tools (visual regression, self-healing scripts, intelligent test generation) to improve coverage and efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Establish, maintain, and audit the marketing QA process for software projects.</p></li><li><p>Research QA standards, AI/ML testing capabilities, and automation trends; recommend process improvements to management.</p></li><li><p>Understand business objectives and technical implementation of GCU's marketing websites and applications.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate product releases with all relevant stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Analyze, design, and prepare test data requirements, including synthetic data generation.</p></li><li><p>Create, execute, and maintain test plans based on technical and business requirements.</p></li><li><p>Design, develop, debug, and maintain test scripts across manual and automated workflows.</p></li><li><p>Provide task dependencies, priorities, and time estimates.</p></li><li><p>Optimize QA tools and processes through continuous improvement, leveraging test analytics and AI-powered defect prediction.</p></li><li><p>Stay current on software upgrades, browser releases, AI testing innovations, and automation advancements.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (computer science, information technology, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution.</p></li><li><p>Minimum of two years of experience building and/or testing web applications.</p></li><li><p>The following experience may be substituted for education requirements:</p><ul><li><p>Three years of work experience building and/or testing web application with an unrelated bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.</p></li><li><p>Five years of work experience building and/or testing web applications with an Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Solid understanding of Windows and MacOS operating systems as well as web applications.</p></li><li><p>Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and concepts (test generation, visual regression, self-healing locators).</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and best practices including build and source control automation tools like Jenkins and GIT.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and performance testing concepts.</p></li><li><p>Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges.</p></li><li><p>Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>
