Roles & Responsibilities
Job Scope:
- Site Supervisor / Snr Superintendent / Site Manager
- Responsible for operating heavy machinery in a safe and effective manner
Core Responsibilities:
Safety & Health :
- Operate all heavy machinery in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Ensure heavy machinery is safely and securely stored
- Attend daily Toolbox Meeting
- Always wearing the necessary PPE while working on site.
- Practise workplace safety and always follow the safe work procedures
Operation of Machines :
- Inform the Site Supervisor & Chief Mechanic of any requirements for maintenance and repair works.
- Always log in and log out on the data logger/ log book provided.
- Always stay together with the mechanic during any repair works.
- Ensure quality of work done
- Handle the machine with care.
- Clean heavy machinery as scheduled or as and when required
- Accept and perform any ad-hoc tasks given.
- Follow Site supervisors, Rigger signalman and banksman instruction and guidance while operating the machinery unless otherwise.
Technical Skills:
- Primary education preferred with minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Able to understand basic English and communicate with team members
Soft Skills:
- Physically fit
- Good team player
Key Deliverables:
- Able to operate the heavy machinery in a safe and efficient manner in order to minimize the risk of injury or damage to property
