Payroll Finance Specialist II - Payroll Services
<div><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and 1 year of related experience. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>To provide transactional, budget, and analytical support with minimal supervision. Coordinates special projects, presentations, and provides technical expertise regarding financial activities. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Support payroll production processes and monthly tax/reporting deliverables</li><li>Provide customer service and issue resolution for employees, retirees, managers, departments, and timekeepers</li><li>Analyze payroll deductions related to insurance through third-party platforms and coordinate discrepancy reviews with UT System</li><li>Conduct weekly reviews and updates of Student FICA status</li><li>Manage monthly insurance billing and payment reconciliations for employees on leave of absence</li><li>Research and troubleshoot in payroll-related systems, including Kronos, USAS, PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleSoft FMS, and TRS</li><li>Deliver transactional and analytical support across multiple functions or departments</li><li>Prepare reports and ad hoc analysis for management, including support for monthly financial reporting</li><li>Partner with HR, IS, UT System, and other departments to coordinate projects and resolve issues</li><li>Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and UT System regulations and policies</li><li>Provide productivity metrics and financial insights to support data-driven decision-making</li><li>Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance and accountability</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Salary Range</strong></p><p>Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Work Schedule:</strong></p><p>Hybrid schedule: four days remote, one day on-site.
