Registered Nurse - Homebased Care Division in Centurion

Medwell SA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the home based care team in Centurion.

Qualifications Required:

  • Registered Nurse with Midwifery and interest in community healthcare services
  • Minimum one year experience in ICU and/or Trauma.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of the clinical and administrative requirements and procedures that are expected within the remit of a Registered Nurse, including nursing procedures, e.g. Intravenous Infusions (siting and maintaining), wound care, catheterisation.
  • Valid drivers license.

Job Description

  • Co-ordinate and manage allocated home nursing services.
  • Completing Patient Assessment and Implementation file
  • Reporting & Monitoring Patient Changes
  • Placement and orientation of care workers.
  • Wound Care
  • IV Infusions & Administration
  • Assess common health problems through observation, interaction and measurement
  • Management of ventilator dependent clients
  • Have knowledge with regards to the role and function that is required in the Healthcare practice. (Laws and regulations)
  • On stand-by for any emergency calls during office hours and after hours on-call on rotation basis.
