Remote Frontend React Developer - OnTheMarket

We are looking for enthusiastic developers with a range of experience levels to join our expanding team.

We develop a popular public facing property website, in addition to several backend systems for stakeholders.

You’ll work closely with the product owners and stakeholders to deliver features efficiently using scrum and kanban approaches. We work in small developer lead teams and primarily develop in Clojure on the backend. We are now looking for a very good front-end developer that will get up to speed very quickly. Just as with the Clojure developers they will need to be self-organising and self-managing. We have a lot of upcoming front end work along with new functionality and changes to the user journey. This contract will be for at least the next 6 months, and most likely extended to a year.

We work in a fast-paced environment with many production releases each week and pride ourselves in our applications’ reliability.

We have some interesting challenges on the horizon and are keen to hear from self-motivated individuals to create innovative yet pragmatic solutions.

What we are looking for:

• FE Developer confident with modern JavaScript and single page apps
• Knowledge of ES6/ES7
• Commercial experience with React / Redux 
• Experience working with fetch() API and SSR 
• Strong (if not obsessive) focus on performance including core web vitals
• Keen eye for design (desirable but not essential)
• Good understanding of Git
• Experience with AWS, Jenkins and CI
• Experience with Google Maps API (desirable but not essential)
• Experience integrating Google Analytics and/or Google Tag Manager (desirable)
