Retail Sales - Fine Wine & Spirits Sales Professional

A leading Upper East Side Wine & Spirits Retail Destination is seeking full-time sales associate join our team. We are looking for someone who can guide our clientele from $15 weekday wines to the most collectible wines and craft spirits with equal enthusiasm.

Knowledge of wine & spirits and an abundance of curiosity is required and for this position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a year experience in an industry related role (retail, restaurant, or distribitor) and have a background in retail sales, customer service, POS operations.

We are looking for a team member who is developing a passion for wine and spirits, possess the desire to increase their wine & spirits knowledge and improve their customer service skills. The position offers the opportunity to join our professional tastings and participate in all aspects of retail buying and operations.

You will be responsible for:

  • · Assisting customers in store, by phone, email and online.
  • · Receiving inventory and inputting data into our POS system.
  • · Working the selling floor and coordinating with the stock staff to organize and stock the sales floor.
  • · Organize and manage deliveries and maintain records.
  • · Continuing wine education of the major wine producing regions, grape varietals, flavor profiles, and wine production.
  • · Cashier operations
  • · General Maintenance and cleaning the store daily
  • · Opening or closing the store daily.

General Requirements:

  • Strong PC/POS computer skills
  • On your feet sales floor, full time position.
  • Lifting 40-50LB cases to and from the cellar as needed daily
  • Evening, Weekend and Holiday work hours are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
