<ul><li>Conduct safety related audits;</li><li>Identify latent hazards and carry out risk management analyses of those hazards;</li><li>Investigate, analyse and identify root cause of all hazards of incidents and accidents;</li><li>Ensure the operator has adequate mitigation in place for identified safety risks;</li><li>Maintain the internal safety data system, to monitor and analyse trends in hazards, incidents and accidents;</li><li>Ensure continuous monitoring system that evaluates the results of corrective actions with respect to hazards, incidents and accidents;</li><li>Monitor the concerns of the civil aviation industry in respect of safety and their perceived effect on FlySafair;</li><li>Coordinate the organisation's aviation safety programme and all related safety matters;</li><li>Cooperate with the training department with regards to safety training of employees as and when required;</li><li>Investigate all incidents and accidents involving the organisation's assets;</li><li>Action and distribute all accident, incident and other safety reports;</li><li>Collaborate with the security personnel to ensure all aspects of the security programme is implemented;</li><li>In collaboration with the Quality Assurance department, monitor and track aircraft component reliability and service provider audit/s;</li><li>Support the organisational emergency response plan;</li><li>Support the Quality Assurance Manager with compliance related audits;</li><li>Promulgate safety bulletins to all staff within the organisation;</li><li>Support safety awareness based on safety issues identified through the safety system;</li><li>Conduct meetings with all relevant personnel regarding safety matters;</li><li>Ensure that the safety equipment is in an operable state;</li><li>Conduct safety risk audits;</li><li>Participate in both Authority (CAA) and external audits;</li><li>Assist the OSHE Officer in the administration of the OHSE programme;</li><li>Collaborate and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders (Internal and External);</li><li>Supervise external stakeholders with all matters relating to safety in and around Assets.</li><li>Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);</li><li>Minimum of 5 years' experience involved in the management of an Aviation Safety programme (Essential);</li><li>Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (Current/Expired) (Essential);</li><li>Human Factors in Aviation (Essential);</li><li>Train the Trainer (Essential);</li><li>Aviation Auditor (Essential);</li><li>Safety Management Systems for Aviation (Essential);</li><li>Lead Auditor (Advantageous);</li><li>Accident and Incident Investigation (Preferred);</li><li>Fully Computer Literate (MS Office);</li><li>Attention to detail;</li><li>Interpersonal skills;</li><li>Analytical skills;</li><li>Must be well organised and able to work under pressure;</li><li>Excellent communication (verbal and written);</li><li>The ability to collaborate effectively;</li><li>Ability to prioritise workload;</li><li>Risk Management skills.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Personal Attributes<br><br></strong><ul><li>Professional;</li><li>High integrity;</li><li>Self-driven;</li><li>Team player and an independent thinker who will take initiative;</li><li>Immaculate timekeeping;</li><li>Positive attitude;</li><li>Strong work ethic;</li><li>Proactive approach to the delivery of duties;</li><li>Adaptable and flexible.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Application Guideline<br><br></strong><ul><li>Email applications will not be accepted;</li><li>Preference will be given to members of under-represented designated groups;</li><li>Should no feedback be provided within two (2) weeks from the closing date, please consider your application as unsuccessful.<br><br></li></ul><strong>FlySafair Reserves The Right<br><br></strong><ul><li>Not to proceed with this vacancy;</li><li>To appoint the selected candidates based on its operational requirements.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Closing Date: 3 April 2025<br><br></strong>#MH
