Software Development Engineer

<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">About the team</span></h2>As a Software Engineer on the Vendor Backoffice team within Zillow’s Industry Software organization, you’ll help build the B2B SaaS platforms that support real estate agents, brokers, and vendors. This team owns foundational systems such as vendor onboarding, billing, roster management, and public APIs that help Zillow scale its ecosystem.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">About the role</span></h2><h2><span>This is an opportunity to grow your career while building the foundational platforms behind Zillow’s business-to-business software ecosystem. You’ll partner with engineering, product, and design to deliver impactful full-stack solutions that support business customers and vendors, while gaining end-to-end ownership of features that improve scale, reliability, and user experience.</span></h2><p></p><h2><b><span>You Will Get To:</span></b></h2><ul><li><p><span>Own full-stack feature development from technical scoping and design through build, testing, rollout, and iteration.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop and maintain scalable applications across backend services and modern frontend frameworks.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, design, and customer success to deliver intuitive workflows and resolve customer-impacting issues.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes that improve platform reliability.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Continuously enhance products through iterative improvements that elevate the experience for business clients.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to foundational platforms including onboarding, billing, roster management, and API capabilities.</span></p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Who you are</span></h2><ul><li><p><span>4+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong hands-on experience with Laravel and PHP, including backend architecture and design patterns.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven success building and delivering end-to-end features from concept through customer rollout.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Comfortable working across the stack, including relational databases such as PostgreSQL and cloud platforms such as AWS.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proficient with modern frontend technologies such as InertiaJS, Vue 3, NextJS, React, and Tailwind CSS.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with B2B SaaS products, billing systems, onboarding platforms, or public API integrations is preferred.</span></p></li><li><p><span>A builder mindset with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, plus a focus on customer experience.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Here at Zillow, we value the experience and perspective of candidates with non-traditional backgrounds.
